Item description

An experienced, nationally exhibited artist is offering private advanced and beginner drawing lessons. Any person interested in mastering Italian and Northern Renaissance, as well as Russian Academic drawing techniques, is welcome.

The lessons will take place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art or at a place more convenient to you, space and lighting permitting. This will enable you to master figurative and representational drawing techniques; my instruction is custom-tailored to improve your individual understanding of light and shadow, contour, depth, anatomy, and proportion.

I have extensive experience in giving private lessons to adults and children, and have taught in settings ranging from after school programs to the New York Academy of Art. My lessons are priced at $40 per hour; the length of each lesson is 2-3 hours, depending on your preference. You may also attend the lessons with a partner, in which case the cost for each person will be $30 per hour. Assignments are optional, but I encourage that you keep a regular sketchbook.

Students interested in better understanding painting techniques are encouraged to apply as well. The techniques taught apply directly to painting, and will enable you to merge your understanding of drawing techniques to painting in color. Drawing improves creativity, reasoning, and visual memory. It enhances independent thinking and appreciation of beauty, the understanding of structure, and it will allow you to easily gather information from the great works of the past.

If you are interested in taking lessons and would like more information, please feel free to email me at mrosnach@gmail.com. For a look at some of my works, please visit www.mrosnach.mosaicglobe.com.

Serious inquiries only. Have a great day, and keep on drawing!
