MSSB - WebSphere Process Server / WebSphere Business Monitor Product SME
Department:
Product Engineering and Integration

Overall responsibility

Candidate will be responsible for the design and evolution of the base infrastructure supporting
Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Business Process Management (BPM) solution.

Key areas of responsibility
• WPS internals SME
• WBM internals SME
• Engineer platform configuration, automation and utilization design
• Identify, solution and implement reuse opportunities
• Continuous solution improvement
• Hardware & Software lifecycle management
• Coordinate infrastructure change testing
• Coordinate BCP and failover testing
• Contribute rough draft documentation to Tech Writer / Webmaster
• Support Application Engineers in the areas of product expertise, integration and problem
determination
• Design, maintain and evolve a repeatable, predictable, scalable operational model
• Participate in off hours support coverage rotation

Qualifications:
• Expert level knowledge of WebSphere, WebSphere Process Server and WebSphere Business
Monitor internals (5 years minimum)
• Hands-on experience building, deploying and supporting WebSphere Process Server applications
and WebSphere Business Monitor models
• Hands on experience with at least one database platform (DB2 preferred)
• Advanced Java expertise
• Ability to decompose documents to identify deployment requirements and configurations for
complex integrations
• Proven ability to facilitate task breakdown and scope discussions

• Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines
• Very strong oral and written communication skills; good listener
• Knowledge of WebSphere Services Registry and Repository (WSRR), ITCAM for Application
Diagnostics and web based security models a plus
• Mainframe experience, especially WebSphere Process Server on z/OS a big plus.
